2009 Annual day trip 11th June to Co Fermanagh (we're busy planning our trip for 2010!)

The Guild headed off on its annual day trip on Thursday, June 11 to the lovely county of Fermanagh to visit Florence Court House and gardens. These are romantically named after the wife of Sir John Cole. The Palladian style house was painstakingly restored by The National Trust to its original design after a fire in 1955.

The Guild was given an escorted tour and history of the house and discovered the many quiet and beautiful corners of this estate by exploring the pleasure grounds, Walled Gardens and Rose Garden.

Enroute, we stopped off at the Lakeside Manor Hotel in Virginia, Co Cavan where tea, coffee and delicious freshly baked scones were served! This hotel is the only hotel located on the picturesque shores of Lake Ramor. We returned there that evening to relax over a wonderful four course evening meal.

Non members are always welcome to join us on any of our trips. Interested? Please call 087 7973 161.
